Finding an injured wild animal

If you find an injured wild animal (the vast majority are injured birds), you should first lead the animal into a deadend or corner so that you can stop it moving around. At this point, gently throwing a piece of clothing over it can help to calm it down and allows you to get hold of the animal.

Find an adequately sized cardboard box and poke small air holes in it. Keeping the animal away from your face, place it carefully in the box and close it well.

Place The box in a warm, quiet, dark and safe place. Never leave it outside the house. Call the Aegean Wildlife Hospital Immediately. We will give you immediate first aid and advice you on how to transport the animal.
